40 miles from Bozeman, Ennis Lake divides the scenic Madison River into two main sections, the Upper Madison and the Lower Madison.
Anglers have the opportunity to target large rainbow and brown trout in both sections of this iconic river.
The average brown and rainbow come in at 8" to 18". It is not uncommon for an angler to land a fish that is 20"+.
The hatches on this 120+ mile river varies from section to section. They include: stoneflies, midges, mayflies, caddis, moths, terrestrials, & more.
A full day on the Madison is special. Cover miles of river on the upper or lower from the boat and take in the scenery, or stop to wade the many holes and braids of this pristine river.
